We were in the middle of Vietnam Hoi an, when we head to Siam Reap with the intention of seeing one of the most spectacular places in all of Southeast Asia, and perhaps the whole world, the Angkor temples.
We considered several options, but the one that cost us the least time, and the price was the best, it turned out to be a plane from the nearby Da Nang airport to Siam Reap, to set foot in Cambodia for the first time.
So we fly with Silk air, a company belonging to Singapore Airlines. In the following link you can check the availability and prices for this flight, Silk air»Target =» _ blank »> Flights from Da Nang to Siam Reap.
How to get from Siam Reap to Phnom Penh
Phnom penh It wasn’t too far from Siam Reap, and the plan was to go back to Vietnam via the Mekong River, one of the best ideas we had. This trip was very nice and uneventful, we were able to stop at some Cambodian villages along the way.
So the option chosen to make this journey was a local van that made the journey. It was quiet and we were also able to enjoy the company of Cambodians, travel as they do, and stop to eat in their places, and not in places destined for tourism.
On own Siam Reap accommodation It was where we bought the ticket.

As I mentioned above, we decided to do this journey by boat, it was a few hours with intermediate stops. The truth was that it was very quiet and a very pleasant experience.
To buy the boat ticket, we did it the evening before at the passenger port on Preah Sisowath Quay. It must be said that we were about 10 people on the ferry, so quiet and a lot of enjoyment.
Halfway there, we stopped at a border post where we stopped to have our passport stamped again. In our case, we had obtained a multi-entry visa, to be able to enter and leave Vietnam. We obtain the Cambodia visa at the Siam Reap airport itself.
