How to go from Cebu Airport to Ferry Terminal 1
To go from Cebu airport to Ferry Terminal 1, where to catch your boat to Bohol, you have three options.
In taxi
The first of them, the fastest and most comfortable is to take a taxi at the airport. You must take a white taxi, since the yellow ones are from the airport, and its price is higher.
Our experience with white taxis in Cebu was very good, no problem whatsoever. They always put the meter, and if you have bought a SIM and follow the route they do, you will see that they do not give you unnecessary laps around Cebu to charge you more.
The tour, depending on traffic, can last between 45 minutes or an hour. Keep in mind the peak hours, which are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Also, the freight port is halfway there, and there is a lot of heavy truck traffic. The price ranges between 250-300 pesos.
In Grab
Known as the Uber of Southeast Asia, It works like a charm. We use them in the Philippines, but also in Borneo (Malaysia), and it is one of the best options.
You must install the app on your mobile (You are going to need to buy a Philippine SIM) and from there, it works basically like Uber.
The advantages are that drivers tend to arrive quickly, you know the price in advance, and you don’t have to queue for taxis. The disadvantage is that it is somewhat more expensive than conventional white taxis.
By bus
Taking a bus at the Cebu airport is an interesting option if you are not in a hurry, and do not want to spend almost money. There is a company called MyBus that operates from Cebu airport to SM City Cebu shopping center, which is 3 kilometers from Ferry Terminal 1.
So from there, you can either take another bus (lines 12G and 12I) bound for Ferry Terminal 1 (Pier 1), or a taxi.
The frequency of MyBus buses is every 20 minutes from 07:00 am to 00:00, and the price is 25 pesos. And the total price (the two buses), you can go for about 60 pesos.
